3D DCE-MRI Radiomic Analysis for Malignant Lesion Prediction in Breast Cancer Patients

Rationale and Objectives: To develop and validate a radiomic model, with radiomic features extracted from breast Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DCE-MRI) from a 1.5T scanner, for predicting the malignancy of masses with enhancement. Images were acquired using an 8-channel breast coil in the axial plane. The mixed capacitated general routing problem with turn penalties

In this paper we deal with the mixed capacitated general routing problem with turn penalties. This problem generalizes many important arc and node routing problems, and it takes into account turn penalties and forbidden turns, which are crucial in many real-life applications, such as mail delivery, waste collection and street maintenance operations. Through a polynomial transformation of the considered problem into a Generalized Vehicle routing problem, we suggest a new approach for solving this new problem by transforming it into an Asymmetric Capacitated Vehicle routing problem. Drug Activity Characterization Using One-Class Support Vector Machines with Counterexamples

The problem of detecting chemical activity in drugs from its molecular description constitutes a challenging and hard learning task. The corresponding prediction problem can be tackled either as a binary classification problem (active versus inactive compounds) or as a one class problem. The first option leads usually to better prediction results when measured over small and fixed databases while the second could potentially lead to a much better characterization of the active class which could be more important in more realistic settings. In this paper, a comparison of these two options is presented when support vector models are used as predictors.

This paper presents a comparison between numerically calculated and measured temperature distributions in turbulent flow in a laboratory model for a CZ large silicon single crystal industrial growth system with a horizontal DC magnetic field. Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules mediating the translational repression and degradation of target mRNAs in the cell. Mature miRNAs are used as a template by the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) to recognize the complementary mRNAs to be regulated. To discern further RISC functions, we analyzed the activities of two RISC proteins, AGO2 and GW182, in the MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line. The constant osculating rank of the Wilking manifold

We prove that the osculating rank of the Wilking manifold V3 = (SO (3) × SU (3)) / U• (2), endowed with the metric over(g, )1, equals 2. The knowledge of the osculating rank allows us to solve the differential equation of the Jacobi vector fields.
